It was nice to see James Wan let loose.
A lot of people (well snobbier horror fans) hate on him for doing 'safe' by-the-numbers jumpscare horror movies.
Malignant was batshit cheese and it makes me fonder of Wan that he went there. I hope going forward he makes more diverse horror efforts. A diverse filmography is very important when ranking directors.
