Dustin Diamond's attempt to make everything not his fault?
When I first saw this movie, I just KNEW Dustin Diamon was behind it. His character was portrayed like such a saint while the others were portrayed in the worst light possible. THEN, when it got to his characters problems, it was played off like it was EVERYONE ELSE'S FAULT!!
Inferiority complex? Oh no, that Mark-Paul Gosselaar's fault. Drinking and drugs? Oh no, that's the extra's fault. Persistent awkwardness? Oh no, that's my dad's fault. Dustin Diamond's every problem seemed to be caused by someone else as he was in no way a result of his own bad decision making. The shameful part of this is he expects us to sympathize with the character despite the fact that ALL of his antics are smeared across the internet for all to see. I could understand a few of his problems being brought on by others but NONE of the cast forced him to horrible on his celebrity reality show appearances or in his porn career. NONE of the cast were responsible for the way he acted during interviews or press panels.
I liked this movie purely as a joke. The irony is funny, really. I never laughed AT Dustin Diamond/Screech before but I'm sure as heck doing it now.
