Was he he an actor, in the the movie they said he was an extra, who appeared on SBTB did he have a speaking role? what episode was he in?

I do want to know if that was real or just made up for this movie. I never heard of this blackmail. That was quite a long blackmail. The guy hung out with Dustin for a couple of yrs, so that was a bit strange.

I suspect that he was the guy who was inside Kevin the Robot.

I thought he was working on something else on the same lot because he didn't look like anybody from the show. Though, since he was an extra, I guess he could have been used a lot in the background and we wouldn't have noticed. Being an extra means he never would have had any lines or done anything significant to really be noticed onscreen.

In Dustin's book there was a guy who pretty much intended to blackmail him very much like the "Eric" character in the movie.

There were two background Asian characters in SBTB, both played by the same actor. One was a nerd and one was a "regular" (for lack of a better term) student. My best guess is it's that guy.
