5th Season?

I'm confused as to why the movie said that the network wanted to renew SBTB for a 5th season and the Peter Engel character says high school is only 4 years, not 5. There were only 4 seasons of SBTB. Even if you count Good Morning, Miss Bliss as the first season, Miss Bliss took place in middle school, not high school. In the pilot of Miss Bliss, Zack bragged about dating an older woman (she was in 9th grade, lol).

I understand that Tiffani-Amber and Elizabeth were only contracted for 13 episodes for the final season, so they introduced Tori to make more episodes. But all those episodes aired in the same season, not the next season.

Hmm. I always thought it had five because of how it aired/re-aired when I was younger and the order it was shown as a reruns.Anywhere I look online, it says there were five seasons and I feel like they counted Good Morning Miss Bliss since it was sometimes billed as Saved By The Bell: The Junior High Years, and on many occasions they had Zack Morris (older, high school Zack) open the show for a Good Morning Miss Bliss episode with a monologue and the GMMB episode would then air. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Saved_by_the_Bell_episodesI don't know...this is how Wiki lists it all. It's interesting how Leanna is sprinkled into the fourth season.

Yes, if you count Good Morning, Miss Bliss as season 1, then there were 5 seasons. I know they included the Bliss episodes in the syndication package to make more episodes available. But like I said, Bliss took place when the characters were in middle school/junior high school (and in another state), while SBTB ran 4 seasons, the same length as most regular American high schools (9-12 grades).

I thought that even though they aired the same year (TV season), the episodes with Tori were considered a separate season of the show making it Season 5.

No, they're considered the same season. There were only 10 Tori episodes. I remember NBc would air new episodes during the 1992-1993 seasons with Kelly/Jessie and Tori episodes mixed in. Sometimes would air back-to-back, that is at 10:00 a.m., they would air a new Kelly/Jessie episode, then at 10:30 a.m. would air a Tori episode.
