I really would like to see the show rebooted someday soon

I always that they could go two ways with a reboot on this series and bring it back for today's audience if they either did an adult version of the series with most of the original actors or if they just rebooted completely like they did with this movie and used younger actors.

This is a show that never really ages, I hear kids under the age of 13 watching it all the time even though the show was made way before they were even born. It's a timeless series that should still be in production today.

I'm glad this was done to perfection recently with shows like Dallas and to a certain extent 90210 although I wouldn't call it the biggest success but at least they rebooted those shows and they lasted more than 2 seasons.

Hopefully we'll see it be done in someway or fashion to bring the Saved By the Bell brand back.

Just because it worked for Degrassi doesnt mean it would work for SBTB. Besides, SBTB: The College Years bombed and SBTB: The New Class was forgettable (and one of the reasons NBC gave up on Saturday morning programming).

Actually I wasn't even thinking about Degrassi when I brought this up and SBTB is a much bigger brand than Degrassi is anyways so that's not even a good comparison. Another bad comparison you brought up was the sequels that came out in the 90s which came out when the series was already tired and didn't include members of the original cast for The New Class.

I'm not saying that it would be successful but it wouldn't hurt to bring it back and test the waters to see if this generation would be invested in it.

So far Girl Meets World is becoming a springboard towards getting more comedy reboots remade as Warner Bros. is currently working on bringing back Full House.

What do all three of these series have in common (Boy Meets World, Full House, and Saved By the Bell)? They are strong international brands that are still going strong today and these three shows are still running repeats to good ratings in syndication, Universal is still making a hell of a lot of money off of SBTB from what I heard in a report that was released last year about the health of 70s, 80s, and 90s franchises.

To me rebooting the series with a new comedy series would be a way for Universal to keep the franchise going for years to come.

I am sure that someone will reboot it but I really wouldn't call any of the shows mentioned reboots. They all have characters from the originals who came back to play the same characters. It's more of a sequel.

If it were a reboot it would be more like Teen Wolf where it is characters from a previous work being played by different actors set in the current time, with no mention of the previous version.

Like I said Saved by the Bell will more than likely end up on Disney Channel but probably not until they know that Girl Meet's World can last and be viable to them. I actually like GMW and it's true enough to the original but it was automatically going to get picked up for a second season even if it didn't perform well. Disney isn't going to let a show fail for them.

Somehow I can't imagine any of the original stars of SBTB coming back for a sequel. They all hate Dustin, Mario isn't exactly child friendly, two out of the three girls probably don't have high opinions of what the show did or didn't do for their careers. Plus they probably wouldn't want Dustin their with his porn movie... So it probably would just be new kids going to the same school. Who have identical personalities like the first season of New Class.
