Final episode (spoilers)

OK, so...This was a really great finale. I was basically glued to my TV the entire time. Only thing I hated about the episode was Khlyen dying. I wanted him to stick around and help the team defeat Anila (correct spelling?). He was part of the team for just one episode and he fit right in.

I was surprised to see Clara in the end. She wasn't credited in the episode so I wasn't expecting to see her. I hope she'll be back next season as a permanent character. Stephanie doesn't have any other projects going on.

And the fleet of ships Anila has under her control...holy crap. She has a massive army. Ugly ship though.

Did you enjoy the season finale? What do you hope to see next season?

The Dej scenario felt like a boss level in a video game that didn't live up to a boss level. Even Johnny Technobabble couldn't come through to get his team to the next level.

The 'battle banter' between D'avin and Fancy didn't quite deliver.

The whole Hullen backdrop was catered in one episode, the season finale. We now have to wait for Aneela to appear to flesh out what Khlyen gave us. And she's supposedly insane.

NICE twist on the Khlyen communique to Kendry. Had me wondering when he had the time.

A silly display of Aneela's fleet. Reminiscent of the old video footages of nations marching their military through the public square. In our case, whose citizens are watching? And why isn't the fleet using FTL?

Maybe we'll get webisodes of The Adventures of John and Clara. As the new season opens, we might see their last adventure before rejoining Lucy and her crew.

It was great!

So glad to see Fancy survived! It would be amazing to see him in season 3 as a regular!

I'm also kind of glad to see Johnny go, he's always the same, IMO. The whole Pawter love arc seemed too quick and like a plot device anyway, and he's always wanted to do something else so...

Also disappointed to see Khylen go but I see why they did it, clearly they have something great planned for season 3!

I also love Hannah's portrayal as "insane Neela." Wow, she's a natural! I am a little concerned they'll kill off Alvis eventually ... :(

Same here. Great finale. Glad that they didn't kill Fancy Lee. Enjoyed Dav's and Fancy's banter. Hannah is amazing!! Will miss Khylyen.

However, I don't want Johnny to leave the team, I expect that he will probably re-join by the 1st or 2nd episode of the next season. One of the best things about the show is the friendship between Dutch and Johnny, and I hope that the show does not lose that.

I am not disappointed Khlyen died, I'm heartbroken! It was a great episode and I'm looking forward to next season.

From the interviews I read from Michelle L. this is what she said about Khlyen:

Khlyen’s resolution is a little less certain, and it’s grounded in a larger complex arc. “I hesitate to say that this is Khlyen’s end point. I think it would be naive and premature of us to say that,” she points out. “I always want to change Khlyen. If we were fortunate enough to have Rob [Stewart] come and play and have a story that would make that worth it, it would have to be a thing that twists the relationships with Dutch and Aneela and makes it more interesting for the actor to play.”
I think it might mean it is possible for Rob to come back next Season but he can't say anything because of a discloser agreement he has to sign... Wish I could somehow get it out of him when I can go back to Canada....

So I think we will see Khlyen again in S3...

Your welcome and it does sound promising for my friend Rob Stewart who plays Khlyen because he is a great Actor and plays that part fantastically..

I don't have any inside info, but remember that no one truly dies in science fiction. At least there seems to be an unwritten rule about this. There have been so many characters in other shows and movies who return in some fashion. It's fairly easy to bring back characters in sci-fi shows, especially in a series that isn't tied to "hard science" like Killjoys.

They can always come up with a new side effect to the plasma or green slime or whatever that stuff is. They can have a clone, or a spirit version, or an independent voice in Dutch's head. Or a new computer, "tree" or other device somehow brings back Khlyen, even if only in Dutch's head. Or he could have been downloaded into a computer network or ship's systems. Or something else. There are many possibilities, even if he only returns as a recurring character.

As I said, this is just speculation on my part. I have read nothing about this either way. I'm basing this on the frequent return of sci-fi characters on other series who came back from the dead in some manner.

As for Stephanie Leonidas ("Clara"), I think she appeared in the opening credits.

I kinda expect Khlyen to pull through to be honest. If Aneela survuved who has been pretty much exposed to the same goo then should at least have a chance. Maybe it just takes him longer to recover from the poisoning. Maybe he turns out cured of the goo and we see him return as a normal human being? Its Scifi. Anything goes.
