Tony's friends (spoilers)

Does anyone think that the movies have tried to make Tong and Steve closer friends than they get were actually portrayed? Look at the conflict over all the movies. I'm not saying they couldn't be reconciled (and th eff h didn't have to show it on screen. In Endgame it is inferred that happened after Tony got well.

It seems to me that Bruce and Tony had a stronger friendship than Tony had with Thor or Steve, although they are shown with the family listening to the recording.

I totally understand the focus on cap: his regret over what happened between him and Tony, the fact that he might have been right and that he was wrong about him but good friends seem like it might be a stretch- mutual admiration was there though, but not the same as my drinking buddy
