Tony had some sort of civilian scientist credential, and Steve had a military uniform on. But they didn't have enough Pym particles to go back to 2023 first to make all that stuff. Where did it come from?

Yes, it's a heist movie. In a heist movie you want to see the details. Have you seen OCEAN'S ELEVEN etc.? They don't just yadda yadda past stuff. If they don't show it as it happens, they go back and show the details we missed in a flashback.

shareIt's lazy screenwriting. I don't think they left it out to save time, I think they left it out because they didn't really have an explanation. Which is true for so many things in this movie. I really enjoyed watching it but there is an incredible quantity of what Alfred Hitchcock called "fridge logic".
