I thought the emphasis on the poster was a neat little trolling touch by the director, especially since the movie was based upon a naive young bartender dating a wealthy older women.

I barely remember that flick, but it's a good point. It may also be a good commentary on Joanna dating clueless, younger men whom she can boss around. Maybe they should have had a poster from "The Graduate"...? And there's the whole 80's theme going on.
I followed all the rules...and you followed none of them. And they all loved you more.
Or just an indication of the shallow influences the kid has.
