Stopped watching after second episode, last season I was glued, the second season I just lost interest in the whole "is it reality or fake" continuation, I mean I could just go smoke crack cocaine if I want to be confused.
Don't get me wrong I love the element of surprise, but don't abuse it.
I finished the season, and I'm sorry I did. I'm dropping it. The first season was much better. I actually found the characters interesting back then.
Elliot spent time in jail for hacking his therapist's boyfriend and stealing his dog. Whiterose and the Dark Army are planning Mr. Robot's "phase 2," which we eventually learn is to get rid of Evil Corp's paper records.
Two of the hacker team, the fat guy and the Muslim girl, run away and go into hiding.
Tyrell only shows up at the end, but Elliot doesn't think he's real. Then Tyrell shoots Elliot. Darlene's boyfriend (guy who gave Angela his CD last season) was a hacker, and he was killed by Dark Army.
The husband of the woman Tyrell killed has been sending Mrs. Wellick weird little "gifts" all season and strange phone calls. Joanna is now setting up her boyfriend to frame the widower for his own wife's murder.
Most of this crap was a mystery for way longer than it needed to be and as soon as the truth is finally revealed, the storyline was dropped completely or it was the very end of the season. So viewers spend more time not understanding what's going on than understanding. That's a bad balance for me.
Way too much style and mystery, and way too little substance or coherence for my taste this season. I love shows with intriguing visual style and mystery, but this show doesn't balance those things well. It tries too hard.
