shareI think it was a way to establish the blind man as more of a villain. Up until we find the abducted girl, your maybe rooting for the Blind man. Once you find out he abducted a girl, impregnate her, and then was going to use a turkey baster to impregnate another girl, you start to lose sympathy.
That scene with the semen filled Turkey baster pushed me to the side of the thieves. It was really sick that he would do that.
You know I hated the fact that they had to pull in those scene just so that we should start rooting for the home invaders instead. He should have simply been a blind man who lost his daughter and has Iraqi war traumas and with them trying to rob him, it triggers raw survival instincts in him. In other words I feel his character should have been like Rambo in the first movie
