A warm & fuzzy ending to season 2

Nothing unusual, Rip & Beth were almost going to live happily ever after.
Then Rip rides, horseback, into light arms fire from several white power militia members & is unscathed (I guess because of the powerful medicine the Indian bestowed on his horse) but even if they would have hit him, we've already seen him absorb a couple of handgun rounds close up which didn't slow him down much (although he now walks with a bit of a limp). A successful midnight fire fight & then the sheriff of Yellowstone County drives way up north to Flathead County to join in on another firefight with even more white power militia members (I wonder what law enforcement in Whitefish would have thought about that?) . . . ho hum . . . .

And then group hugs all around for everyone (except for Fredo, oops, I mean Jamie) . . . .

No Jimmy though sad face emoji.

I am inclined to expect big things of Jimmy next season. He has participated in a murder during season 2, so perhaps he will take Rip's place on the team that drives cowboys (who are no longer wanted on the Yellowstone) across the Wyoming line to the scenic overlook where the Dutton gang sends them to ride "The Long Black Train."
