My main issue with the movie
I'll start off by saying that I liked the movie despite it's story telling issues (personally I didn't mind the movie not explaining everything so much but I'll leave it at that).
Anyways, the main issue that I think hurts the movie is that while the practical effects looked good, a lot of the time they are hidden in the dark to the point where you cant make out details of those creatures. I hear a lot of people often praise the practical effects, but I while watching it I couldn't help but keep thinking how I couldn't see stuff most of the time, it kept hiding the creatures and what was going on to a frustrating degree.
