Billions vs. Damages
Which one do you think is a better show? Billions will probably continue 2-4 seasons more so it might be early to say but kind of based on subjective feeling?

shareI prefer 'Billions,' so far. Both were great (I *loved* 'Damages'), but 'Billions' seems to have more clever writing/dialogue, whereas 'Damages' seemed to be more reliant on plot twists.
shareBillions is a great show. I gave it 8/10. Somewhat inspired by The Fountainhead, as they finally alluded to in the last episode.Smart but pretty straightforward.
Damages was twistier, smarter and much more layered. 9/10 from me.
Both are awesome shows.
It's been a while since I last watched Damages, but from what I remember, the plot was complicated and darker. Billions is easier on the brain and the dialogue between the characters is wittier, I think.
Hopefully we will get 4-5 seasons of Billions, I remember they really ruined Damages with the rushed ending. Hopefully it won't be the same for Billions!
Damages was really well thought, conceived and executed. The editing and the intricacies each season were great but I don't think it should have last so many seasons. The dynamics between Glenn X Close and Rose Byrne had run their course by season 3 and the producers were really milking the whole situation. Yet in terms of writing and performance it was much better than Biilions. The characters had more depth and the antagonism between the two main characters had more layers and substance. And it really evolved during the first 3 years.
shareDamages just seemed out of balance without Tom. Also, David Costabile had one of his better roles here as did Tom Noonan.
