Bobby's watch

I like that he wears a cheap watch (relative to his wealth). He wears a Cartier that costs about 6 grand. Not a cheap watch for most people, but he COULD wear a Patek or AP that's worth over 100 grand. Or even *just* a Rolex Skydweller worth about 35 gran new. It's as if he's saying, "I'm so rich that, unless I wear a Berlinetta on my wrist, nothing I could wear would indicate my level of wealth. So why try?"

Interesting observation. No doubt goes along with his decision to not wear fancy suits but casual street wear. He sure does like to thumb his nose up at high society.

That's true. I think he does thumb his nose at high society. But it's also a form of anti-pretentious pretense. I grew up next to Harvard (but did not attend such a good college). When I was a kid in the 80's, most Harvard kids wore white tee shirts over khakis. Not even preppy style (navy blazer over white button down etc). Just a plain white tee over cheap khakis. To me, it always seemed like they were saying, "we got into Harvard. We're above style and signification."

Yes. Bobby is not humble so dressing down is he way of saying I am so rich and so above it all that I can buck the trends and dress how I want.
