Lonnie said "en tenue"...did he use it correctly?

When Lonnie told Chuck that he'd keep his involvement in the bribery investigation "en tenue", I looked it up and the definition is "uniformed". My French is non-existent and I've never heard this phrase used in English, so I was wondering if anyone could shed some light. Did I hear the French phrase incorrectly? Thanks...

Not sure of the exact scene you're referring to, but in this context it sounds like you may mean "entre nous" (pron. ontra-noo) which is "between us".
