MovieChat Forums > Billions (2016) Discussion > Covid shut down this show

What a timely matter! Was quitting anyway. Seems they did it for me. I even think they might cancel the whole thing without closure.

Covid killed the show. Mid-season opener tonight was boring, smug, self-satisfied, with dialogue out of Dawson’s Creek For Wall Street. The exaggerated break in the airings reveals Billions for the swindle that it is. The best part of the ep was the cover version of Lou Reed’s Rock and Roll.

That is just sad.

Was telegraphed as anything that Prince would know about the sports betting. Could see it coming a mile off when Wags "found" something on him.

The double flip after that was just as obvious too.

It needs to find its feet quickly again. The Taylor stuff has already gone on an episode too far and is so far removed from the Axe / Rhodes storyline (which IS the entire show) they're utterly pointless as a side issue at this stage.
