And Just Like That, we get episodes filled with pop culture references. Which can be fun, but unfortunately Prince is a big basketball fan and I didn't get most of the arcane player references. Other than that, no real conflict established for the season.

Lewis and the show runners didn't close the door. And an expiring contract coupled with personal tragedy is nothing like the Cattrall shit show. ZERO ill will. After Homeland and Billions, Lewis is a cornerstone of the Showtime stable. His character was killed off in Homeland, yet he still managed to reappear (via a Carrie hallucination) before the show ended. Again, nothing like the Sex in the City sniping saga.
