Remake.....how can you really review it

Any movie that's a remake, or as Bollywood state (Inspired) shouldn't be allowed to be reviewed or even accepted. It's an insult to the original director who has worked for months to think of an idea and story and spent the money to produce. Bollywood just turn up and steel it and throw a few pathetic trademark songs.

Khan saab, you should have said the same thing when Kick, Wanted, Ghajini, Don was remade I am trying to search your point on these movies on IMDB and fail to understand. Remakes also needs to be made with lot of care else they will not work. Actors have to put expressions, story needs to be told even in remakes, so do not take anything away from people who are involved they invested their money and sweat into it. Hail to original film maker Jeetu Joseph and Mohanlal for giving such a master piece. As a fan of Ajay and Kamal sir I have loved both versions better than original, you cannot tell me I am anti-mallu but I hate Marathi, Punjabi and all Bihari movies too .. so do not guess me from where I am.

reply

My point sir is that Bollywood is full of **** and only a half wit finds them entertaining. Even I can make a Bollywood movie. Steel an idea add a few trashy songs, and waste 2 and half hours of someone's life.
THERE IS NO ORIGINAL TALENT IN BOLLYWOOD. "THEY COPY EACH OTHER AND HOLLYWOOD"

Please. Stop trying to act cool and refined by hating on Bollywood.

"THERE IS NO ORIGINAL TALENT IN BOLLYWOOD. "THEY COPY EACH OTHER AND HOLLYWOOD""

That's a gross exaggeration if I have ever heard one.

''I am anti-mallu but I hate Marathi, Punjabi and all Bihari movies too''...you hate?? i mean who cares or who the fk you are...lol

The original is a Japanese novel 'The Devotion of Suspect X'.

So, it's not something the 'original' director created entirely by himself. Every film industry makes remakes, Hollywood and other Asian media houses make them as well.

Nothing new, and nothing which is illegal. I don't like many Bollywood movies, but saying Bollywood is the only place for such thing is utterly wrong.

reply

Films like Face Off were inspired by Hollywood. But when it comes to Bollywood they say it's inspired but it's a blatant copy.
You all need to see the difference. Bollywood say inspired, but they totally copy.
Hollywood again say they are inspired but they don't copy the whole thing. That's the difference. It's not hard to work out.

reply

Actually they never received his rights to make the movie. I believe Ekta kapoor was the one who got those rights and she is suing the makers of this film.

reply

Do you have any information on the rights for "The Devotion of Suspect X", did the producer of this film ever buy the rights? Is it an official adaptation, or an official remake of the movie Suspect X? As far as I can see on this page Jettu joseph is credited for ORIGINAL STORY in fact.

I have nothing against bollywood making remakes, but remake and a ripoff are two very different things. This whole oh its a remake of a malayalam movie. Yeah which was an unofficial ripoff of another movie. Did the same thing with memento.

If bollywood wants to buy the rights of the actual movie, and letting their audience know that this indeed is an official remake of a another film. Then I have no problem with it. But to claim that the idea and the story is original when it is not, is just plagiarism, and thats nothing to be proud of, and yes that is illegal, and just because bollywood isnt the only place where it happens doesnt make it any less "wrong".

Did that director ever say under oath that if someone ever tried to remake this concept or extend it to a movie with his own interventions and additions, shall thereby be considered a rookie and hideous and shall be banished from the face of earth?

OR

Did that director give you the copyright papers that go son! and fight for me. If someone tries to remake my concept, burn them to hell.

I am tired of YOU type of guys who would show up and urinate on a fine film with their mental disillusions and narcissist vomits.

reply

I urinate on Bollywood movies and the Bollywood film industry. Even Tamil movies are better.

reply

haha...damn pakistani spotted

reply

that "original" malayalam version is also based on japanese movie, "Suspect X". Loosely based on.

THRILLER IS MY FOOD!

reply

Its an Official Remake which means Remakers have paid to the Original Makers.

Days of Copied Movies are going now and who so ever copies blatantly should be rejected.
