If I love this show, should I try Almost Human?
How does it compare?
shareI like both shows equally and think they might have been better if they were back to back shows for a cool science fiction block. But of course that is how I feel about them.
(Family Guy)There is no Peter, only Zool.
AH was quite nice written, make sense the future portrayed. never liked the guy that plays the robot. he seems very fake, demonstrated on the final episodes where he changed his fake smile for a wrinkled face probably forced to finish the remaining episodes since his abilities to act are shut down (anyone that does not agree with me, watch all the season and tell me if the guy on the final episodes its not like depressed on screen)
if you like minority report (tv show) watch first the movie (minority report) then if you really liked it, watch almost human.
Almost Human is good. Scyfy is releasing The Expanse this week or next week. It's Sci Fi and has similar story/writing, acting, directing as Minority Report. You might like it.

I enjoy Minority Report but I love Almost Human and have watched season 1 a couple of times - I was broken hearted that it was cancelled.
I never apologize, Lisa. I'm sorry, but that's just the way I am. Homer Simpson
Yes, I enjoyed Minority Report, but it was more just fluff to pass the time. Almost Human was a really great show. Fox didn't seem too committed to it, though, because they showed the episodes out of order. The reviews for Almost Human were better too. It had a green score (generally good reviews) on Metacritic, while Minority Report had a yellow score (mixed or mediocre reviews).
shareMy love/hate relationship with Fox tends to stem from their irrational decisions to cancel promising shows like Almost Human. Almost Human was a good show with pretty decent ratings. A show that may have grown a bigger audience if Fox would have given it a chance. I still can't believe they cancelled it.
Almost Human has a good one/two punch in Karl Urban and Michael Early. I thought they played off one another very well and made the show pretty entertaining. I thought the supporting cast could have been used better at times, but all-in-all, a good show.
Almost Human was fun, and it didn't end on a cliffhanger or anything like that. It was kind of like a futuristic baddie of the week show with a promising backstory that never came to fruition.
I'd say that it's worth watching, though. I liked it a little bit better than Minority Report. AH was more lighthearted and it had more banter and buddy cop stuff, but the futuristic setting and action were also well-done.
