"Ghost Trap" The Drink

Nice idea of pairing a drink with the film. Totally wanted to have one while watching the movie - (saw the advertisement when buying the tickets on AMC's website) . Even though I am currently abstaining from alcohol - I got one for my wife. Hey - it was part of the sell to see the movie with our 6 year old - "Hey lets try this drink too"

I don't know if this was an AMC movie theater tie in only or what...Went to a 2:45 show - no bartender at the theater. In fact when we got there we walked directly to the bar - guy in the front says loudly "hey you need to come check in first and we don't have anyone at the bar" - (Off to a great start). So we walk back and show him our tickets that we had printed in the theater about an hour earlier before we granted lunch, and I ask can we get some one at the bar - he says "I don't know it will be a while", I say "ok how long is awhile?" - "I'm not sure" he says - "Is it more than 20 mins" I ask (knowing the movie doesn't start for 45 minutes) - he says "I don't know also I don't know if anyone can mix drinks today" - I say "Is there a possibility someone can help us if we wait", he says "It's possible" - I say ok thanks and head to the bar. I'm waiting about 2 minutes, the guy yells back "Let me see if I can get someone to help you". Im laughing with my wife for a bit. We wait there and another guy comes out from behind the main food service area and heads over. Immediately says "Ok I'm not much of a bar tender, and I don't know if we have all the ingredients to make the drink. Also I hear its not good". Meanwhile I'm staring at the poster they have in front of the bar advertising the drink. I laugh again - and say "ok" - Bartender asks me again what I want and I say "well since you're doing such a great job on selling me the Ghost Trap drink, I'll take one". He says "ok" and flusters about looking for the ingredients. He actually finds everything and starts making the drink. My wife is about to head over to get in line but says as she walks away "Just put plenty of vodka in it, it'll be great!!".

We get the drink and I thank him for the "Car coolant" looking beverage. I take a sip and it's not bad at all - not terribly sweet or overpowering - could of used more booze (vodka).

Anyway - surprisingly strange customer experience having not been to a movie theater since pre-covid. The theater was not busy at all. Seats were comfortable and IMAX sound the audio sounded great. Unfortunately I kept hearing 'booms' from other movies in neighboring theaters...Sound control not quite dialed in.

Enjoyed the movie - the girl that played Spengler's grand-daughter was great.
