Entertaining enough show. Problem is

They shouldn't have used a Game of Thrones comparison to market it. That created an expectation this show doesn't get near. And after they hyped the production costs, the end product makes it look like they got ripped off.

Fortunately for me, I watched a few episodes before reading anything about it. Therefore, I enjoyed it for what it appeared to be instead of being disappointed that it isn't what it's supposed to be. I had no expectations. I even marveled at some of the sets -- reminded me of 'The Lord of the Rings.' But at the same time, I noticed my nose upturned at some things including creatures that looked too much like those in 'The Lord of the Rings.'

It's ratings are poor and it's getting mostly negative reviews, I can only hope to be able to watch the full season before it's yanked.

Entertaining enough for sure. I never heard anything about this show, I just started watching it. It's above most normal shows, but if you compare it against GOT, then of course it will come up short. Hopefully it survives for more seasons.

Well, visually it looked like they were trying to do a cheap version of GoT instead of something resembling actual history. They even got a diminutive Emilia Clarke wannabe!
