Gillian Anderson is actually British-American. She was born in Chicago, then from 15 months old until age of 11 lived in London, when she moved back to Chicago. So she is bidialectal.

And she lives in the UK again since 2002. She has done quite a few british tv shows with spot on british accent.

I always thought the only American actress who could pull off ''Thatcher'' would be Jane Lynch.. too bad
