Maybe Candle Cove wasn't the best choice
I thought this was very disappointing. The whole Candle Cove show was just very underused, it's on for like a minute in every episodes and it's probably the most interesting part of every episode (possibly because that's what we expected to see).
The original elements made for the series just weren't that interesting. The monster made out of teeth looks interesting visually, yes. It's an impressive special effect, but it doesn't really do much, most of the time it just stands or walks slowly and eats teeth. The way it was shown just didn't do much for me, I didn't think "this was creepy" I just thought "Oh, it's that thing again, OK".
Even at six episodes I thought this dragged. The characters don't really do that much, they don't really come to much new conclusions etc. through most of the series, they just mainly react to whatever happens. That, plus Mike is such an uninteresting character that it made it boring.
Like I wrote in the title of this thread, maybe Candle Cove wasn't the best choice for the show. It's such a short story that they really had to create more material to work with. I tihnk it would work best like a one episode, it wouldn't work well for the whole season.
Hopefully NoEnd House will be better. It looks more interesting visually, from the trailer, and they have more material to work with, plus more varied scares. The first season really did repeat the same scares a lot (dream sequences, creepy kids etc.). I hope it's better, so far, the most fun I have is wondering what will happen in the new season and which Creepypasta they'll use next.
