I was reading through this, waiting for you to get to the point but you never did. JESUS, as we say in English, didn't make it a point to explain when he had or was fulfilling prophecy; he just fulfilled it. He was there to teach and live perfectly under the Law so He could atone for the sins of the world
permanently. The apostles weren't called to record it either. They were called to start and spread the church. Nor were any of the others called to that purpose. So I fail to see a point here.
The apostle Paul says, "God sent his son who was from the SPERM/SEED of David" seed in Greek is the word "sperma" who has sperm? Men. No knowledge of a virgin Birth

obviously what Paul is talking about here. Mary was of the tribe of Judah and from the lineage of David. Furthermore, I've debated with you before and you said you don't even believe Paul was made an Apostle of Jesus. You also mentioned that you don't believe some of the Pauline Epistles, or at least some segments thereof. So what, you only use parts that are convenient for your arguments? By the way, Paul didn't use the usual Greek word for born,
gennao. He used
ginomai, which more specifically means 'cause to be' (coming into existence). Obviously, this was to focus on the miraculous nature of his VIRGIN birth.
The Protevangelium is not just found in Isaiah. It's in Genesis as well. Genesis 3:15 to be exact. When Moses(?) wrote this verse, he used the wording
her seed. Seed, or sperm comes from man, so why would he use that wording? Because he was speaking prophetically of Jesus and HIS ankle, symbolic of Jesus' enmity with and eventual defeat over the Enemy. Her seed instead of his seed was also in reference to ginomai, or His VIRGIN birth. He was both man and God so, yes, He was born under the Law. But He overcame the Law so that He may become a bridge.
Also, she was NOT married to Joseph yet when it was revealed that she was pregnant. She was betrothed, a period that could usually last a year or so. The virgin birth is even further supported by the word Almah, meaning virgin in its contextual usage.
All of this is also taught in seminary school, but I highly doubt you're a credible source for what pastors are taught. Perhaps if you broaden your source of information beyond that of Bart Ehrman, you may learn a little more.
