From everything I've seen online everyone seems to be in agreement that this is one of the *beep* movies ever... but on Netflix it has over a 4 star rating? Every other rating I've seen blasts the movie for being rediculously bad. Do you think Netflix is lying about the "user rating" just to promote their own movie and get at least a few people to watch? Because I definitely do.
shareNah, because the scores for the Netflix originals are highly variable. The Ridiculous 6 and Special Correspondents have 1 star, as do a lot of the comedy specials.
Only the genuinely great stuff gets 5 stars e.g. House of Cards, Narcos, Stranger Things, Making a Murderer and scores tend to take a while to settle.
I haven't seen it yet, maybe a lot of people just liked it?
How did Special Correspondents got 1 star?? I am not saying its a great movie but it has some funny moments... 3 stars would have been fair

Actually, Spellavis113 is correct. If you check netflix on multiple accounts you will find different ratings for the same movie.
Netflix has an algorithm that shows a rating for the movies based on how it thinks you would enjoy it. Its mostly wrong for me.
The red stars have nothing to do with other peoples ratings. It's a prediction of how much you'll personally enjoy it, based on what you've previously watched and/or rated. There's probably more to the algorithm than that, but overall it's not a collective rating like here on IMDb.
