I mean...I seriously don't know how an emoji movie could be a good idea. It doesn't suggest a story. Yes, there are emojis representing almost everything, so you could design a cute little world in which the "smiley faces" and human and animal emojis live together. But that's an idea for a series of pictures, maybe an emoji comic strip or a short film. Disney's "Star Wars As Told By Emoji" or "Finding Nemo As Told By Emoji" videos are funny. And I do love lots of the little graphics. But a feature film?! Sounds very weak (like bloody Angry Birds--can't understand how that became popular in the first place.)
I liked how one guy on Collider Movie Talk wondered whether it's gonna be a "diet Inside Out"--like, "Are they gonna try to cheer up the sad emojis? What's up with the happy ones--are they on crack?" xD 😕😦
