I just watched this movie and it was not very good at all. I don't see where the positive reviews are coming from. The characters are unlikable and the story line is whack. I've seen my share of twisted movies but I found myself eagerly waiting for the end of this film. This movie was recommended to me but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Avoid this one.
shareI actually kind of enjoyed this one, what was in it, anyway! Character development was hasty, and yes, very unlikable guys from the get go, but the two main characters - the young man and his uncle (or family friend) - were at least better than the rest. And the story was WAY underdeveloped, to be sure, but it did have potential.
A decent thrill ride if one is simply wanting thrills. Asking anymore than that, viewer will be sorely let down. I'd love to see a remake, or even a well-developed book/short story would be cool. Film was based on a short to begin with, just seems.like it was hastily put out. Gotta give director/writer kudos for having the cajones for putting this out, though; Turkey isn't able to be the most free-thinking society with Erdogan in charge, locking up anyone who goes against his ideas of conventional, conservative society.
I agree. It was just weird and gross to be weird and gross. What was the point? I didn't enjoy it at all.
