Raised on laugh tracks...should be totally desensitized to it by now.

I was born in 1983 which means every sitcom that I ever saw on TV had a laugh track to it. The sound is so ingrained in my psyche that I don't even notice it when I'm watching The Ranch. I can't believe so many people are thrown offsides because of it LOL.

reply

Me too it's like a superpower I don't even hear it all.

reply

Lol right! The most useless superpower of them all, but handy while watching The Ranch :D

reply

I agree. I don't notice it majority of the time as well. I will never understand the "Fad" when people say. "I don't watch those"

reply

They need to get rid of the laugh track. Part of the reason I loved The Office is because there were no laugh tracks at all.

reply

The Office isn't the same type of show.

I grew up in the laugh track era as well but just because we grew up with it doesn't mean it needs to be a thing. I remember watching this and hearing the awful laugh track and thinking to myself you know this show would be 10 times better without it and I still think the same thing. I can overlook the laugh track that's not a problem but does not mean I think it should still be used.

For the umpteenth time, it's not a laugh track. The Ranch is filmed with a live studio audience.

reply

Those things aren't mutually exclusive.

Tv shows add laughs from other bits that the audience laughed at.

I watched the first 10 mins and it's nigh on impossible that was the audiences live reaction unless they were pumping something into the studio.
