Why paint the ambulance and not simply change vehicle ???

Why didn't the two brothers simply leave the ambulance and drive off in a car that the chicanos would have brought them??

Just wait thirty seconds until the helicopters / cop cars chase the 6 ambulances, change clothes, have one of the two brothers hide in the trunk (since the cops were looking for a black and white guys duo) and drive away, no? To me this is such a huge stupidity in the script.

Yep, the script needed some rewrites and a tighter pacing. Cut out the Papi character and get to the that ending quicker. Maybe have Cam find Zach's gun and in a struggle with Danny accidentally shoots Will and then have the ending play out similar to what we got.

Could have been a solid 100 minute action thriller instead it's Michael Bay going excessive again and going over 2 hours.

What was the point of paining the ambulance? I missed that.

The script probably started as a Grand Theft Auto movie, but changed course mid-way. The ambulance painting was a leftover from the original version. I would guess Bay liked it and left it intact for no reason.

I thought about this. They probably wanted to keep the cop hostage and needed the ambulance to keep him alive.

Still pretty mediocre movie.

They should have dumped the ambulance when they were in the alley at the first of the movie. They let the driver live so with that he would have told him they left in the ambulance.Have the movie of them going through the city trying to stay away from the police. But it wouldn't be called Ambulance doing that.

Maybe he just wanted to keep the hostages in hand and thought the spray job would look better. But yeah it was a bad idea. But it kept the movie going, and I wasn't really trying to use my plot brain or thinking cap whilst watching this movie. I just strapped in, turned off my brain and enjoyed the ride. I don't think I'll watch this movie again though, but, I wasn't bored.
