The movie would have been a lot shorter...not that i wanted the movie to be short because i enjoyed it
Living by herself with her deaf self... That's a great decision.

Yep, game over first 5 minutes. Even if she couldn't shoot well, if it discharged anywhere near his mask face he would have stopped harassing her real quick.

Although I wonder, too, why she doesnt own a gun, 'The Strangers' has taught us that owning a shot gun doesn't shorten a movie.

That was pretty much my first thought.
I hate guns and being in the UK, it's rare that the average person owns one, but man I was rooting for that fu**&r to be blasted in the face.
Tho' like you say, would've diminished the tension and the film would've been about 20 mins long but still...
