How did the boy know who Alejandro was?

He points him out at the bus boarding area.

How did he know who Alejandro was?
And why did the other guy in that crew ask if he had been in Texas a few days earlier??

The boy locked eyes with Alejandro in a parking lot in Texas, earlier in the movie. That's how he recognized him.

What Peyrol said plus they flashed their vehicle lights/siren to "scare away" the boy, so he also knew he was someone related to a law enforcement agency.
