Didn't think it was possible, but Sultan is better than Dangal

Sultan seems to be a hybrid of a fictionalized account of Sushil Kumar's life and the Indian version of Rocky. But because it is a work of fiction, the filmmakers can be creative with the narrative.

I really wish Aamir Khan didn't do that with Dangal. It is a biopic and the story itself is a very good one and many scenes and dialogues really hit home. But the embellishments with the evil coach was a bit too much to take and the scene of Mahavir being locked up was the last straw for me.

Don't be that blatant when adding 'masala'. It is the same problem I had with Rush and the way James Hunt and Niki Lauda were shown to be outright enemies when in fact they were friends even while competing. The two even stayed together for a while.

Bottom line, the story of the Phogat family was engrossing enough without having to add this much fiction to it.
