Too much bollywood. A little dose of reality would've been better

Aamir Khan makes really good movies and I've liked his movies like Lagaan, 3 Idiots, Taare Zameen par. Some copied movies like Ghajini (Memento), Talaash (a michael caine English movie copy iirc) were ok and some ridiculous like Rang De Basanti which openly advocates terrorism. Other copies were excellent such as P.K. (K-Pax + one more which I cannot recall name of but is quite more similar to P.K.) and Delhi Belly (Lock, stock and 2 smoking barrels + other Guy Ritchie movies)

After telling people to let kids follow their dreams in 3 Idiots, this movie takes a U-turn message to say just the opposite - push your kids and if you want to live your dream through your kid, do it and do it with zen focus.

Still, the message of the movie is good and something people need to hear - women are equal to men and they should be allowed to thrive well in society. Sadly, reality keeps bearing out at india's rape capital, New Delhi which is a blight on Indians.

The movie was tight and good and moved at a fast clip. Some unfortunate things about the movie are the insistence on Bollywood over melodrama with cheap theatrics. Such as - making the coach overly evil and incompetent and having Aamir be locked up in a very evil way at the end.

Those really dropped the rating for me. But what comes next is just utter ridiculousness - a very young looking Aamir dancing to a very Bollywood beat as end credits play.

Now, this really takes you out of the movie literally the moment it ends. Very bad move there, Aamir.

Final rating: 6.5/10

That's the etiquette of unorthodox Indian movies. They consider it to be some kind of promotion (catchy songs) before release and play it at the end just so that the song lovers can have fun for few more mins. Look at the youtube comments for this video, some didn't get the song and were utterly disappointed, that's how it works.
