Anyone else looking forward to this sequel?

"Ant-Man" was one of the few Marvel movie that I absolutely had ZERO interest in, until I saw the movie and loved it. It was fun, in no small part due to Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man.

Although not a huge Evangaline Lilly fan, I am looking forward to seeing where they take the story in "Ant-Man and the Wasp."

Anyone else interested in the next chapter? I hear rumors it might involve Hydra again or possibly AIM.

Guess we will find out.

I am. It was a huge surprise for me, and I actually I rank it around the upper tier of Marvel films (I divide it between "Great" > "Good" > "Meh")

It's hard to imagine a tiny superhero in control of ants could be threatening, but they thought of clever ways for Scott Lang to fight and stay formidable against anyone. Of course, him being able to grow gigantic as well doesn't hurt, if/when the Avengers need that power.

And yes, I never knew much about Evangeline Lily either and never watched Lost, but I thought the dynamic with her and Michael Douglas was well done here. The movie had some unexpectedly emotional moments I had to say.

I think I'll like Lily better in the sequel, as they will do more with her character of Hope Van Dyne/The Wasp. The most recent trailer was good. Looks to be a lot more action!
I'm on a Marvel high right now, so my enthusiasm for this movie is bigger than I thought it would be. Guess seeing Infinity War twice in one weekend will do that to a person.

I am! Ant-Man was great!

I am. If only to see Evangeline Lilly in the Wasp outfit

Me, but I'm not that sure that this can be as charming as the first one. Edgard Wright matters.

I'm actually looking more forward to Ant-Man 2 aka Ant-Man & The Wasp more than I was Infinity War. Heck, I've been impatiently waiting for this sequel since the first Ant-Man movie. Civil War did give me a little more of him though, so that helped out with the wait. Plus Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 was another good distraction. But I'll be there opening night. Maybe the Thursday night before it officially releases.

Ant-Man really is just a fun character. Even movie goers who aren't comic book fans seemed to enjoy the first movie. I took a lady friend who typically doesn't watch many MCU movies and she loved it!

Ant Man I thought for sure would be MCU's first true flop. I mean who gives a crap about Ant-Man? But it worked out great, Paul Rudd really made this character work, good entertaining/funny story and this features amazing deaging work on Douglas. So I am looking forward to this sequel.

Completely agree, and I don't think any other movie exemplifies the genius of the MCEU better than Ant-Man. They took a comic book character that many if not most had never heard of (I never had), and sounds ridiculous on paper, and made an absolute blast of a film.

Exactly how I felt. I didn't even catch it at the theater but was sorry about that when I saw it on dvd. Such a fun movie. Paul Rudd is great as the character and I'm really looking forward to the sequel.

Marvel Studios has mastered the craft of superhero movie making. MCU naysayers will gripe "it's three acts and they're all the same," but their criticism completely ignores how the movies are received. Ant-Man illustrates that IF you give audiences characters to like and care about, you can build stories around those characters. At it's heart, that's what the MCU does better than anyone else. Let the character drive the story. They have a formula and it's works. Does this approach take away from the villain sometimes? Maybe, although I think that argument is another lame attempt by people who don't like the MCU.
