Not on DVD until next year?!

I'm really excited for this to premiere on Thursday night! I was born in 1980 but I have more vivid and fond memories of that decade than I do of my teen years in the '90s, haha.

I'm already wanting to buy this documentary on DVD, but it seems I'll have to wait until next year? The Sixties aired 2 years ago, but only got released on DVD last year. The Seventies aired last year, and isn't out on DVD yet. (I haven't seen either of them, but would like to.) I wonder why it takes a full year for these documentaries to make it from broadcast to home media? I imagine it has to do with acquiring rights to the music and footage used? Kinda frustrating, really.

That is because the 80s was seriously better than the 90s

Forget DVD. How about Blu-Ray?!?

In this day and age, they would have gotten the DVD rights at the same time they got the TV rights. So that's not the problem.
