Snoozefest

I'm reviewing the TV show after 2.5 episodes, I turned it off during ep3.

2.5 episodes of impending doom but no doom. Mostly it's minor drama about an artsy girl with big dreams and low ambition but her deadbeat, tax evading, alcoholic parents can't afford college tuition. On the side is a youth sucking vampire-ish monster, a miscast Zachary Quinto who fails to exude menace. It seems like the writers want to build a metaphor about creative types overcoming evil they will spring on us at some point but the episodes feel padded with filler and the showrunners are not being respectful with the viewer's time.
