Minor goofy observation

I'm about 5 eps in, having just started watching this series on Netflix. I'm hooked on it now.

To my ear, actor Justin Hartley (Kevin) sounds a lot like Tom Cruise. Not so much the actual pitch of his voice -- although that seems close at times -- but more the cadence, timing and delivery style.

I closed my eyes and few times just to confirm it to my ear.

Am I weird or what?

I'm directly to the south of you, in the U.S. I was just surprised to hear you were watching it on Netflix. I can watch it here on Hulu, or on nbc.com, but not on Netflix. :)

If I'm not wrong, in Season 2 Kevin addresses having been defined "a taller Tom Cruise", before his acting career took off.

Yeah, my wife and I just watched that particular ep last week. (We're watching it on Netflix in Canada so we're a season behind.)

My wife can't hear Tom Cruise in Justin Hartley, so it was my moment to turn to her and utter the sweetest three words a person can say: "Told you so." ;D
