Lacked something, I'd rate it 6/10

I loved Bone Tomahawk, however this movie, while a bit long, was not as good as expected. It just seemed like there was no point, even boring and the second half was pretty dumb. Overall, dumb movie, had nice violence though and I like that Vince guy anyway.

I'd give it an 8 out of 10. The story/acting are both legit - the over the top gore with poorly done sfx brings the score down.
All in all, this director is definitely someone to look out for. He's only done two films and both are pretty remarkable on such low budget. More importantly, he really knows how to bring out the best out of actors.

He's basically the Stephen Spielberg of indy films (when Spielberg was still good).

I'd give it an 8/10 too. Vince Vaughn was a beast, I really liked his performance in this. I liked the gore but the poorly done sfx in places bothered me. But that's really my only problem with this movie. Actually they were so poorly done that it makes me wonder If it was intentional.. It was something like you'd see in an 80's film.

It was intentional

Bone Tomahawk was better... this just didn't work...

I thought it was much better than Bone Tomahawk, that was a big letdown.

I'd rate it a 10/10 and makes in my top 5 of the year. Absolutely good! Very violent!

I agree, it was drawn out when it felt like it didn't need to be. I did thoroughly enjoy watching Vince Vaughn beat the ever living shit out of most of those guys, but there was something missing along the way and I can't put my finger on it.
