Suddenly being able to say shi*

Does anyone else find it offputting? I'm not remotely bothered about swearing normally, Malcolm Tucker is a hero of mine, but the move to amazon seems to have allowed them to say the S word now and it just seems weird every time I hear it from one of them

The last couple episodes it's really stood out to me. I couldn't care less about cursing, and I certainly have no moral qualms with it, I just find it so awkward. It was like on the beach buggy special the producer told them to say "sh!t" as many times as humanly possible, so much so that it just reminds me of a child who learned a new word and can't wait to show it off.

It's great,

Make it's more funnier lol.

They are not tied down like they where with the BBC.

It was very much overdone and stuck out as odd. Having watched them on TG for 12 years without it, it's very jarring and largely unnecessary.

Good luck, Captain. I think you're about to go where everyone has gone before

The original Top Gear was on broadcast TV, TGT is not but on the equivalent to cable which they can get away with more.

While I agree to an extent, it also seems a bit more natural. The three of them swear a fair bit in normal conversation and it seems more like how they actually talk to each other

I think they might have overused the word “s**t” a little bit, but I also agree with what lil_b_597 post above me said about them using swear words in real conversation and it being how they actually talk.

I do remember the boys talked about swearing on the Grand Tour in an interview about it, and they did say they’d continue like on Top Gear to bleep out the majority of swear words.

Like they’ve obviously decided to let s**t slide, but stuff like f**k or whatever is still bleeped.

Especially in season 2 they started swearing a lot :) For F words they use a beep, but anyway you can hear the "f" sound. LOL :) To be honest I don't mind it, because it is a show mostly for men and that is how most men talk :)
