Richard's "ice cream is gay" joke

It wasn't funny, and not for any PC reasons: it was just a really weird thing to say. It's the sort of thing a 10-year-old might say in an attempt to be "edgy". As you said, who the hell doesn't like ice cream?

I think for a long time now - even in their latter Top Gear period - Hammond has been trying to out-Clarkson Clarkson. Maybe it has something to do with his brain injury. I think Hammond's next logical step would be to punch a producer.

"Ice Cream is gay" says the Hobbit who looks like a hobo whose mother picks his clothes for him that wandered into a television studio one day along with your "funny" uncle that desperately wants you to think he's cool and a giant racist melting candle that is also pregnant.

The joke just wasn't funny. It's like, what have you got against Ice Cream, Elf on the Shelf? And d'yknow what? That's exactly the reaction they wanted.

After he said it I started to think about it and I get his point. An ice cream makes the most masculine of men look somewhat camp. In his own words "it's more that way than that way." However, I think he probably does eat it himself.

It wasn't funny or offensive at all. Seriously I wish they would quit trying to be comedians and just present a decent car show I'm sick of the forced jokes and childish sex jokes

Eating an ice cream looks like sucking a dick.
It's the same joke as not staring another man in the eye when eating a banana in public.

If you think it is politicly incorrect you need to re-evluate your life.
People who get upset by these sort of things needs to either get laid, or buy some *beep* ice-cream.
