Seriously, the secret to enjoying this movie is.....(it was quite a pleasant surprise)...

when going in, having an idea of what type of movie this is.

I can't clearly recall how this movie was marketed, but up until now, I have avoided it and I kind of like Gerard Butler.

I always thought it was sort of a serious-type like shoot-em drama, but it is not quite that.

This thing is off the rails, does not take itself seriously, and is done like Brawl in Cell Block 99. I'm trying to think of other apt comparisons. The point is - don't take it seriously, just buckle in and sit back and enjoy some comic book violence, good twists, and thrills, and ignore the morons that call it "woke" because the main hero is a Black female (those whiners get so old).

The great character actor Toby Huss (one of those actors everyone knows the face of, but not the name) knocks his character out of the park.

So, give this one a chance. it's just mindless and fun entertainment.
