So the nuns that Sister Irene sees are actually all deceased, so was she merely seeing a vision of what all had been previously done to keep Valak out, or was that Valak messing with her?
shareYour first guess is correct, or at least that's how I understood. Irene had spoken briefly about seeing visions; it was the reason why she was picked by the Vatican to accompany the priest on his mission even though she wasn't a full-fledged nun yet.
