1st Episode: The Scene on the Courthouse Steps at the end.....
Does anyone know who the "over the com" voices were supposed to be ??
Was that whole assassination scene a set-up ? By who ?

reply

Nobody remembers the "intercom voices" while they were all coming down the courthouse steps at the end, then the victim's father pulls out a gun and shoots the boy's father ? Who were the voices supposed to be ? Seemed like a set-up, but by WHO ??

reply

That wasn't "the end". Sounds like you missed much of the program. The actual "end" was even weirder than the shooting .. which happened and wasn't referred to again... well, not that I heard, anyway !

Re the very last scene (I just now finished watching the first episode)....what was going on outside? To whom were the police talking? Taylor's mom was looking out the window and exchanged a look with Bull. Apparently someone outside had a gun?

Thanks in advance for the help

Bull added up certain unstated facts and evidently nudged the police towards Taylor's mom as the murderer. These are the things we know/saw. Brandon refused to name the man he was with at the time of the murder, but exchanged knowing, loving looks with Taylor's dad. Taylor's mom was almost psychotic in her attempt to "couple" Taylor and Brandon. And we were told that the dead girl was wearing a necklace borrowed from Taylor at the time of the death, but no necklace was found. We are shown Taylor's mom hiding the necklace In question.

So we, as the audience, can put those pieces together, and come to the same conclusion, except we have seen actual "proof" of her guilt, her possession of the necklace which may even have been the murder weapon since she was strangled. I don't understand how the police, without that proof and only assumptions based on impressions, were able to get a warrant (?) or whatever they had that justified storm trooping that Manhattan socialite's home.

Thanks, Reader....Although I missed some of the subtle hints earlier on, I did catch on to things in the last bedroom scene; however, it wasn't clear to me that the police were coming after Taylor's mother at the very end. BTW, the actress who played Taylor's mother goes back s long way on crime dramas. I know I've seen her on L&O years ago.
