Illusion of change and effectiveness of democracy.
Lots of subtle and not so subtle implication that it's all Republicans fault and private business. I'm not saying that injustice isn't happening, I'm just saying I think it's naïve to downplay the establishment and corporations and lobbyists close connections on BOTH sides. It's like an illusion of democracy. I feel better and more in touch because I watch this documentary, but what can I really do...nothing! I think we are in a one party system, with the Democrats taking power more now and the Republicans taking their role as the opposition and they can both blame each other publicly for not accomplishing anything while privately working together to support the status quo. Shows like this provide the illusion that people are more aware of this and it's going to change soon. I kind of doubt this. Hopefully there will be some way in the future that regular people can stand up to all things BIG (big government and big corporations do NOT have regular people in mind) and have some real control over justice. Now I can pretend I have actually accomplished something by posting something online no one will really read. I have to laugh at it all or I'll go crazy.
