It would be a better ending if Laura found the help she needed.
Also, what happened to Eva after she ran away?
It's a very good film. Great acting and cinematography.
Not a fan of this film. Especially the way Laura is presented is very uneasy and not in a good way either, she's a trouble person yes but she's a bad bad person. Although it has Evan Rachel Wood's best performance in a long while for me on film. This film isn't very good dealing with it's subject matter.
It would be better if Laura was punished for her behaviour and her father too. Given the help she's needed while serving a prision sentence and for us to see Eva and her mother reunite. Eva is a complete afterthought in the end.
Very strange film, and fair play to the lead actresses for putting two great performances not deserving of this film.
