Sounds like 'novelty' is the main appeal of this movie

Every comment I read seems to focus on the fact that the actors were amateurs and that this is why it's 'a great movie'

I understand praising the untrained actors and all but that alone does not make a movie watchable. This one really isn't very engaging. It's actually quite boring. Compare it to El Mariachi by Robert Rodriguez (first time director, untrained actors) and blair witch project (amateur independent production, untrained actors) and this one seems to have no real plot or narrative, or really even one single interesting scene at all.

So yes I get that ya'll like the novelty that the actors were untrained. But dude that does not make this a great movie. Not even a good one. Sorry.
