Well there goes all the hype for this movie. This is a bad sign and shows that the studios have no faith in this movie being successful box office wise.

Under normal circumstances you would be right, but when even the new Bond movie is awaiting a release date and could still conceivably go straight to streaming like Wonder Woman, its just a sign of the times.
It won't. Part of Disney's deal with Fox was that their remaining titles would still get theatrical releases. You really think this would go straight to streaming, but The Empty Man gets a theatrical release?!
