Another Superhero/Villain film, let down by it's third act and Villain. (Spoilers)

it's really a shame with this one cause I was loving it for two third's of the film and it wasn't getting to top Superhero film levels or anything but it was still so much fun, and is a far better film then it's 2016 version even with it's flaws. Then that bloated just overlong third act with a crappy villain (Starfish really) that could have done with some editing down and tighten up.

Positives for me are the actors felt like they were having more fun with this one then the cast of 2016 version were. Idris Elba and John Cena were great, especially Cena. Joel Kinnaman was given something of a personality as Rick Flag in this one. A big positive they didn't overdo Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn in this one like they did in the first film and Birds of Prey film, they gave her moment's to shine but didn't overdo it and for me she's far more fun character for it. Sure Viola Davis and Jai Courtney weren't given anywhere near as much to do as they were in the first film as they were in pretty much cameo's in this one. Good acting talent like Alice Braga and Peter Capaldi were given little to do. Daniela Melchoir as Ratcatcher 2 is one to watch out for though. King Shark was a great character.

I love that it was a fun and bloody film and not the miserable and dour of the first film. The chemistry between the cast were great. Some funny scenes like the attack on freedom fighter's camp, the opening shoot out and Harley's escape. It was a fun film for two thirds of it. Then that third act grounded everything to a halt for me.

7.3 is a fair rating for this one. I would have gone 7.7 if it kept up the same level of fun for two thirds of the film.
