as he'd have never been up for the best actor oscar for King Richard, Chris Rock wouldn't have insulted his wife and he wouldn't have hit him thereby casting a cloud over him, his career, the Oscars, and hollywood itself.

He obviously figured doing King Richard would get him nominated for an oscar over just doing the sequel to the hugely successful superhero film that wasnt well received critically so Warners hired Idris Elba to replace him as a similar character.. (also Jada probably didnt want him working with Margot Robbie again on a crazy fun set)

see how theses things turn out eh. There are bigger things at play .. Like Denzel said to him 'the devil comes for you when you get too high dawg'

I liked Smith as Deadshot but I feel like his mere presence would had changed the focus of SS2 more towards him than the whole cast. It really is an ensemble film even if Elba winds up being the team leader in the end.
